ICE CREAM SOCIAL — Late August
We kick-off our school year with an ice cream social to welcome the children and parents to St. Andrew’s Day School. Would you like one scoop, or two?

RALLY DAY — The second Sunday in September
We introduce the church’s fall schedule and begin Sunday School classes. Church members bring school supplies to distribute to children in need. The congregation shares stories, skits, scripture, songs and prayers. We finish with a picnic lunch.

PUMPKIN CARVING —Late October
Will you make a scary, happy or sad face? We supply the pumpkins; you supply the imagination and skillful cutting. Adults and children of all ages are welcome.

REFORMATION SUNDAY — The last Sunday in October
We celebrate the start of the Reformation, the day in 1517 when Martin Luther expressed his concerns about the beliefs and positions of the church by nailing a list of those concerns to the door of the Castle Church in Wittenberg, Germany. We continue to look at how the Church can improve and modify its teachings and
principles today.

ALL SAINT’S DAY — First Sunday in November
We recognize and remember all of the members of our church family who have passed away.

CONFIRMATION SUNDAY — First Sunday in November
We honor the members of the confirmation class who have completed instruction to identify with the life and mission of the Christian community.

ADVENT DINNER — Second Sunday in December                                                                                                                                                We begin to look forward to and prepare for the Christmas season, with a Nativity Dinner and special choir performance.

CHRISTMAS EVE SERVICES
We celebrate the birth of Christ with special candlelight services on Christmas Eve.

SHROVE TUESDAY PANCAKE DINNER — The day before Ash Wednesday
On the day before the start of Lent, we feast on pancakes at our annual Pancake Dinner.

ASH WEDNESDAY
Ash Wednesday, the first day of Lent, marks the start of the six weeks of penance before Easter. Repentance ashes are placed on the foreheads of those attending our service.

The Vigil of Easter —- Saturday

EASTER SUNDAY
We celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead with a Sunrise service, followed by breakfast at the church. Our special Easter service is held at 9:30 AM.
